I love this talk about how wrong business is, especially in combination with the Netflix presentation.

    Autonomy, mastery, purpose are the true motivators. This is why open-source (among other things) works.

    Yes!

    Commissions and bonuses may work for sales people and bankers, at least in the short term, but I have never been a fan of financial incentive programs for creative workers. In my experience, they frequently have the unintended consequence of demotivating (at best) or of pushing the optimization of outcomes that weren’t really desired (at worst).
