I was happy to have found your blog! Terrific writing and story – and I know first hand since I am the Executive Director of Medical Missions for Children and have taveled to Gitwe twice in the last few years. One correction, though, your link brings the reader to the “other” Medical Missions for Children based in Patterson NJ – they focus on technology in third world countries. My organization can be found at mmfc.org and we send 20 surgical and dental missions around the world each year! If you could update that, I would very much appreciate it. Best, Liz Desmarais

Thank you for sharing. I am reading up on all I can find about the Gitwe hospital as I will hopefully be travelling there in the end of August to help with building design work of the hospital. I’ve travelled to several countries in the past for design work & it’s so helpful to hear others’ stories about a location before I get there. Great job & Best wishes…

What a trip! Africa is in your blood now. Would you mind if I forwarded this to one of my students? She is from S.
Africa and her family goes back often and does good works. See you in Atlanta on the evening of the 9th and any time on the 10th. Would love to have you stay at the house. Phillip is in Dayton Friday-Sun. but would love to see you on Thursday. He would come and get you etc. Let us know.
