Remodel of the Exterior
We’ve started a bunch of work on our house. When we bought it last year, the inspection showed we’d have to:
- put a new roof on the house and shed
- rebuild the front porch, which was rotten from top to bottom
- clean out and button up the crawl space as it was a fairly popular location for the under 20 rodent set
- paint the house and shed
We’re finally getting around to having the work done.
The house looks pretty funny with no porch. Teh guys were nice enough to put the peace sign back up.
It only took them a day to get rid of the porch. Where did it go? Right in the truck.
The kitchen, which is in the back of the house, is getting a new roof.
And the shed as well. It only had half a roof–the half that you could see from the house. They had neglected to roof the back half when they put a new one on 10 years ago. Details.

Hey, my grandson must be wondering, “what’s going on in the neighborhood?”
Don’t let Malcolm see all the construction. He may like what he sees, become a carpenter, and not go to Carleton!!!
We can’t wait to see you next week. Love ya, DAD
