Hi guys. Part of your wish list was fulfilled on back in April as part of the big SFDC-Google launch. Astadia developed Astadia Report Collaboration for Google Spreadsheets 2.02. On top of being one of teh Google-SFDc APps pre-imbedded in every version of SFDC (look in your Setup and then Google Apps), here's the link to the AppExchange http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/detail_overview.jsp?id=a0330000005HRtdAAG

And here is the reuters coverage of the event talking about the same Google/SFDC App
http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS96945+14-Apr-2008+PRN20080414

Astadia Report Collaboration for Google Spreadsheets allows a Salesforce subscriber to export any reportable information in Salesforce to Google Spreadsheets for further analysis & share the report with both Salesforce & non-Salesforce users.

Hope this helps you and others.
