Workout Plan in Google Spreadsheet

Last Updated on Monday, 21 April 2008 10:16 Written by Steve Monday, 21 April 2008 09:36

That’s a summary of my triathlon training plan for 2008 published as a Google gadget. I built a Google spreadsheet to plan my year, based largely on Joe Friel’s methodology.

I estimate my weekly hours, marking the events I want to race. Then breakdown the weekly estimates into real workouts. Then track the actual workouts.

If you want to build your own plan, I’ve published a copy of it here. Take it and make it your own!

Update: Here’s an XLS download as well.

Fabulous! I am a SFDC consultant who is also a triathalete…using the Joe Friel book to guide my training. Many nights I have thought, “I need to create a spreadsheet”…but I never get around to it.

    Good luck with your races!

Let me know if it works for you. It’s been a two year work in progress, but I think it’s to the point where it’s pretty helpful for me. I’ve seen other Joe Friel-like spreadsheets on the web, but none of them gave me exactly what I wanted.

    Good luck with your races!

Wait — I think you must have forgotten to enter the Whidbey Triathlon on August 2nd.

This is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this resource. I’m in AZ, with three Olympics this month and a Half coming at year-end. Best of luck with all of your races.
